You are more creative than you know….
So often we hear things like ‘But I can’t draw/paint/sing/sew!’ or ‘I haven’t seen a poem since high school!’
But creativity is simply the act of creating...no agenda, no fixed outcome, no pressure.
In healthcare, we use our creative minds all the time... to individualise care, to solve problems and make meaning.
At Creative Clinic, we believe in the power of creativity as a way in to wellbeing for everyone. From Queen Victoria’s doodles to Tom Daley’s poolside knitting to your local hospital’s choir, we see examples of people using creativity as a way to connect, relax, channel mindfulness and express themselves.
Our next event on 11 May with poet @raybould_sarah and artist @lily_and_lyra will explore what creativity means in the busy, real lives of two members of our Creative Clinic community.
Curious? This free, online event will be an informal and welcoming space to explore.
Open to everyone.

Last week, on Wednesday evening, we teamed up with @drhlfoster and @stoneygatecentre for The Creative Empathy Hour.
Led by writer Helen, we used windows, benches and the last days of April as ways into exploring perspective. We sent postcards to winter and ushered in light.
Thank you to Helen and all who joined us.
Feeling inspired? Wondering how to take the next step in your creative journey? Our next event will be a ‘Creative Conversation’ between two members of our Creative Clinic community, poet @raybould_sarah and artist @lily_and_lyra
This free, online event will be a relaxed, informal opportunity to discuss what creativity means and how to work it in to busy lives! We’d love to see you there.

Creative Clinic is all about Community. We have loved growing our community, meeting many of you and getting creative together.
We’re delighted to announce the next event in our series of Creativity Talks - ‘A Creative Conversation’ with Sarah Raybould @raybould_sarah and Krupa Patel Smith @lily_and_lyra , two members of our community who have generously agreed to share their creative journeys with us.
Sarah is a twice Pushcart nominated poet and doctor from the Peak District in the UK. She has poetry and mixed-genre work published or upcoming with IceFloe Press, Ink Sweat and Tears, Black Bough Poetry, iamb, Arcana Poetry Press, After…amongst others. She is often inspired by the natural world and explores the dialogue between poetry and art, music, spoken word and film poetry.
Krupa is a GP, artist, and mum of two, based in Birmingham. She has fallen in love with abstract, intuitive painting. As a lifelong perfectionist, learning to let go and allow each piece to evolve has been both challenging and freeing….and it’s brought a lot of joy into her life. She has also enjoyed creating digital artwork by hand.
In this online event, Sarah and Krupa will shine a light on their creative lives and share what creativity means to them, with an opportunity for questions and answers to keep the inspiration flowing. Come and be a part of this ‘Creative Conversation.’ We’d love to see you.

Last week we found moments of calm, connection and, of course, creativity with Katrina @drkw.connected
In a hour of guided mindfulness, we looked at values - identifying ones that held meaning to us and letting our creativity loose on them! Feeling connected to our values is so important for wellbeing and this was a gentle space to find out what feels important in a busy, uncertain world. Thank you Katrina.
At her next Creative Headspace workshop online on the 18th May she will be taking us along the ‘river of life’. Join us for the journey...
Book your place via the link in our bio.
And don’t forget to sign up for our email newsletter via our website homepage!

Coaching is one tool that can help if you are feeling unsatisfied, stuck or a little bit lost.
Creativity in coaching invites us to step outside of normal thinking patterns and tap into inner resources and imagination. The creative brain is a superpower. Less analysis and logic, more intuition, imagination and exploration. A fresh way of thinking.
