Much inner work was done in 2025. Communing with trees and NYC wildlife continues. People have become more extreme and the high and low pendulum is swinging with velocity. Suddenly life has new meaning. Highlights of 2025. Backwards first. 1. Physical presence-ing of Forlorn Prod. 2. A dreamy day in Venice with Sophia. 3. Friends new and old at Sprint Milano. 4. Forlorn arsenal ready for deployment. 5. Clawed hand at Hospital Fest. 6. Sophia in Paris. 7. Reacquainting with Cameron. 8. Perpetual ray of sunshine Rainer. 9. Max at his show. 10. Dax bootleg zine. 11. Kristen checking in. 12. Lin repping the brand. 13. Forlorn identity courtesy of Eugene Terry. 14. Grass roots marketing for NYABF. 15. Inventory suicide period. 16. In the sunny confines of Tompkins. 17. Some Other Books zine zone. LAABF 18. Favorite Artist alert Ruiqi and Commas. LAABF 19. Inspirational bookmaker Leslie RO and Sam G and Lizzie. 20. The dawning of a new consciousness - the return of Acid Bath. ☝🏽

When you talk to me now or anytime in the future, you’re really just talking to this version of me in 1987. Same thing.

A conditional release for those who ‘walk behind the rows’. Purported to be the the poetry zine of Acid Bath vocalist/lyricist Dax Riggs, ‘Shiting the Cold Death’ is a collection of poems, drawings and collages which portray a twisted, kaleidoscopic vision of lust and torment. An art brut monument whose true spirt lies within the worlds of transgression and shock horror. Edition of 7 stapled copies. Each comes with a flammable print ‘My Icons’. Free of charge, under certain conditions. Available in person only @ MoMA PS 1. Sept 11-14. (From) A (Past) Forlorn Production.

Is it possible to be truly seen? This may be love at first sight. For this is the perfect gift and physical embodiment of a shared triumph with my @printedmatterinc coworkers. Thank you @varioussmallbooks Thank you @art_shirt_collector for crafting this wonder of the artists book world. I am lost in this magick hat’s magical aura. Something that erases all of the trauma (🙂) and helps celebrate the great moments of a team building challenge. I am speechless (but not completely wordless). ❤️. Thank you.

Always get more emo than normal around this time. 1994. Reston, VA. This was my bedroom. I can make out most of the details - Gorilla Biscuits, two of my artworks on the wall, my phone, pictures of friends, a Malcolm X pamphlet, an ALF flyer. Wearing my Corrosion of Conformity shirt that I got at my first show - COC, Holy Terror, 4/16/1987 at the 930 Club, F Street, Washington DC. I made that execution artwork around the same time. I think it was a commentary on the mechanized way our carceral state works. “It’s All So Easy”. Killing and Dying. I was at a low point. Not the lowest. But still down there. I took this picture to remind myself of how I felt. It was at this point in my life where I was introduced to a new group of young people that were involved with hardcore, skateboarding, graffiti and zine making. They didn’t know it but they would rekindle a purpose and joy in my life. I started my project Forlorn then. Thankfully the spark that was then at its dimmest point hasn’t gone out since.

I am a pack rat with a purpose. This is a small portion of things I have collected at my desk @printedmatterinc . Flyers, notes, bookmarks, stickers, exhibition cards, photos and other ephemera. Well, my desk has reached its maximum pack ratting storage limits. Here’s a little sorting video. I’m going to make a longer one where I self indulgently narrate all these bits and pieces. But also where I can acknowledge their origin and highlight some wonderful artists who made them. With some of the doubles I have, I made 3 little ephemera packs - postcards, stickers, patches, flyers and buttons. If you want one, lmk. If you’re in the us, I’ll mail it. If you’re in nyc, just stop by the shop 🙂. In closing, thank you to anyone who has hand written a note, gave me a sticker, button or flyer. It has not gone to waste. This kind of sharing economy is indispensable. ☝🏽❤️.

The happiest place I can possibly be is on a trail with a mountain directly in front of me. These pictures are from Icebox Canyon and Pine Creek trails. Red Rock Conservation Area is a real gem. It’s funny thinking that my mom grew up about 20 miles from here, way back in the 1940s. Who knows what 2025 will bring but I hope whatever fate has in store, I’ll be able to scratch off a few more mountain destinations from my bucket list some day soon: 1. Madeira/Azores 2. Inverness/Scottish Highlands 3. Dolomites 4. Patagonia 5. Olympic National Park (for real this time) 6. Back to Norge 7. Back to Suisse 8. Back to the west coast of Canada
