Happy 2026 ✨ and WELCOME to THE CO.LLECTIVE SUBSTACK (link in bio). If you’re new here, The Co.llective is exactly what it sounds like - a collective of athletes and individuals from different sports, different backgrounds, and different walks of life, coming together to share everything in between. The good days and the tough ones. The breakthroughs and the breakdowns. The highs, the lows, the messy middle. Now we’re bringing those real conversations online. Expect honest blogs, short reflections, audio clips, videos, and photos - the full picture, not just the highlight reel. We’re here to overshare a little, reflect a lot, and remind people they’re not alone. 📷 @eringoodman_

Finding Your Ground with @biancatarboton 🤍 “Our minds are our greatest limiters. We are all so much more capable than we think that we are/give ourselves credit for. So give yourself the chance. Lean in to the discomfort and face up to the challenges. The more you do, the more you’ll begin to realize that.” Thank you to everyone who joined us! And a massive thank you to @theninefour for hosting us and @jackblackbeer for keeping everyone hydrated!! As always, we love you hear from you so please DM us with any questions or feedback and we’ll see you soon! 📷 @eringoodman_

FINDING YOUR GROUND - Hosted at The Burrow, home of @theninefour running crew. We’re excited to introduce you to your speaker, but we’re going to keep you guessing a little longer, so here are some clues: ✨She is originally from East London (in the Eastern Cape) ✨She has just completed her masters in chemical engineering (running was never something she thought she would do as a job, otherwise probably would’ve chosen a bit less intense degree hahah) ✨Her first running discipline was on the track when she was about 11 and 1500m was her distance. Sign ups open Sunday! 🗓️ November 18, 18h00. 📍The Burrow (34 Loop St.) 📷 @eringoodman_

Meet your first speaker @n.i.c.k_g We’re excited to announce Nick Groll as our first speaker for “Focus on the Mile You’re In” - Dad, husband, backgammon chairman, clinical psychologist, and runner.  Nick wears many hats. Presently, in order of importance, he is a dad to Evie, husband to Erin, chairman of Cape Town Backgammon and the South African Backgammon Association, clinical psychologist in private practice and amateur tennis enthusiast. When there’s time, he runs and over the past decade or so, has taken immense pleasure in the challenge of running - from battling with a friend for the most different parkrun locations (38 currently) to a couple of 100 milers. In his work, Nick sees adults for weekly, long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy - helping them deal with the trials and tribulations of relationships - with themselves, with life and with others. He also has a special interest in parent-infant psychotherapy, intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder. We are so excited to have Nick joining us and sharing his insights from the perspective of a mental health professional and runner, but more importantly, as a dad and husband. 📍 @motleycrewcrossfit & @plato.coffee (De Waterkant) ⏰ 12h45, August 16th 📷 @eringoodman_ RSVP link coming on Thursday!
