The chmst is leading a quiet little revolution in music—and honestly, we’re here for it. A man devoted to that rich, analog sound, he had us completely locked in. The whole team was vibing—smooth jazz floating through the air while the rhythm had us subtly bopping like we didn’t even realize it.
Trumpets, bass, sax… fully loaded, perfectly in sync, and hitting all the right notes. It felt warm, real, and refreshingly human.

I started creating this song by reversing a Rhodes sample and adding these horns. The intention was to create a release. Before any drums or lyric or hype, my intention was to create a sound scape that could relieve the listener of stress, anger, depression, hatred, grief, all of that mucky stuff that sits on our hearts and in our bodies if we don’t move it. Getting rid of those emotions sonically has a different impact on the brain then if you were to work out or fast or just suppressing. That was my intention and I hope it worked. thanks you so much to @rudyraykwaku@romanjbarton & @mylzpowell_ for layering these, I’ll share some footage of that session next.
