‘The Flowers Died on Monday’ inspired by a poem, marks the outro and the title of my first EP that will be released on @sub.eq.music and will contain 4 of my tracks and 2 remixes 🎶 I’m very happy to share with you a snippet of this project that I loved creating and means a lot to me, as deep emotions and feelings drove me all the way until getting to this final result. NEW PODCAST. CHAFA (Galicia, SP. 2001) es un DJ y productor de techno afincado en Ámsterdam. Su trayectoria musical comenzó en 2019, inspirado por el primer EP de un amigo cercano, lo que le impulsó a explorar el lado más oscuro de la música electrónica y a aprender a mezclar. En 2021, CHAFA empezó a actuar en pequeños clubes y raves clandestinas, definiendo poco a poco su propio sonido. Un par de años después, en 2023, se mudó a Ámsterdam, donde comenzó a producir y a desarrollar su música con mayor profundidad, marcando su propia dirección artística. Desde entonces, CHAFA ha actuado en numerosos eventos en España y los Países Bajos, compartiendo cabina con artistas de la talla de Takaaki Itoh, Stanislav Tolkachev, Denise Rabe, Radial y Loktibrada, entre otros. El sonido de CHAFA se caracteriza por su pasión por las atmósferas oscuras y las texturas profundas y mentales. PREMIERE ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 The Climb by CHAFA Today we are very excited to announce the first premiere of our next Various Artists release. For those who don’t know him yet, CHAFA (Galicia, 2001) is a techno DJ and producer based in Amsterdam, characterized mostly for creating electric atmospheres, broken rhythms and heavy, metallic drums. ‘The Climb’ is a track that properly demonstrates that. Continuing from my last post, today I’m sharing a piece of how the track ‘What She Hates Most’ is evolving 😇 Exploring, mixing and applying new simple techniques like, for example, adding a compressed delay without low-end to the kick in a return channel for getting those “toms feeling” before the drop 🥁 Releases will come soon but in the meantime I enjoy sharing some videos of how the process feels like for me. Last year I started learning music production and spending more and more time in the “studio” Along this beautiful way, I discovered new sounds and directions, different from what I usually play in my DJ sets and it opened up a new side of my creativity ✨ There’s still a long path to go and lots more to learn and explore, but I’m very happy with the results so far. These previews from projects I’ve been making in the last months are part of that journey and I can’t wait to start releasing them and more this 2026 💖 - 1- ‘The Climb’ 2- Remix for @inezakker 3- ‘What She Hates Most’ Special mention to my teacher @__ar.gie__ for the help, sharing his knolewdge and, mostly, for the patience during this process 🤣🥰
