One of the women I look up to the most, meet Luzviminda, my grandma, my nanay.
She’s an artisan and a seamstress 🪡 making pieces usually from recycled materials. I’m wearing a few of her works.
Growing up and watching her sew and making things from scratch is a big part of why I love what I do 🤍
“The object isn’t to make art, it’s to be in that wonderful state which makes art inevitable”

Slowly easing my way back to creating 🍀
I recently had a conversation with @byandrei and @cindy.ansah , on how creatives hold the pulse of what it means to be alive. How creatives consciously moves societies and nations.

Moving in to this main account to share more of my creative endeavors ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚
I’m finding the rhythm back into the practice (painting) that led me to spaces I’ve never been before.
Thank you for being here 💭
What does it mean to be a villager?
To be a villager is to learn how to listen to strangers, to friends, to family. It is an openness to voices beyond our own, and a willingness to be shaped by them.
It is to show up for the places that hold our community together, local art galleries, shared spaces, cafés, localtheatres.
A community is not built in isolation, but through interdependence. When we allow ourselves to recognize how deeply we rely on one another, we become more free. Like the natural world;just how the moon awaits the sun to rise again and again each day, in cycles of giving and receiving.
To be a villager is to see the people who make up the fabric of everyday life. Your neighbor. The barista who knows your order. The person tending the lawn. The bus driver.
To be a villager is, to belong, and to help others belong too.
metamorphosis, part 1
one of my favourite pieces of work I’ve done representing change, growth, and becoming through internal reflection and meditation. a physical manifestation of an interior way of being.
had an incredible group of people come together to make this happen, I’m so thankful to lean on my creative peers to not only be able to make something like this, but for the insight and ideas they provided to elevate this entire production. special thank you to @_carissaking for custom making the feather shirt by hand sewing approximately 300 goose feathers.
