Friends, we need help. Mordred is our baby. We love this hound. He has changed our lives so completely. We were not ready for another dog after our sweet Nova passed unexpectedly. The dog lottery had other ideas for us! You lost a special needs, spicy, one eyed, 9lb rat terrier/chihuahua?! The universe blesses you with what appears to be an emaciated 30lb Beagle puppy. Fast forward, he's not a beagle, he's a 67 lb treeing walker coonhound/Tennessee mountain cur mix. Someone dumped this beautiful hunting dog off like he was garbage, we are so happy we get to be his family, we treasure him.
Today, Mordy was hit by a car. The young man delivering animal feed was driving too fast, he hit Mordy at 30mph, hard enough to knock his bumper off. His pelvis is fractured, and he has severe lacerations on his back right leg. He may need surgery to repair his pelvis and possibly his tendons or ligaments. Right now, he's staying at the OSU veterinary hospital, and it's likely he'll need to be there for more than one night. The costs for his hospital stay, surgeries, stitches, aftercare, and medications are adding up quickly.
We are asking for any help you can give to support Mordy's recovery and bring him home safe. Your support will go directly to his urgent medical needs and help us give him the best chance at a full recovery. Thank you for being part of Mordy's journey and for any kindness you can share.

Ope, it's actually day 3! We are attempting to find something to be excited about that is outside. It's difficult during these frigid days. I am attempting to work in my studio but forgive me, it's 50 degrees in there and getting my hands wet for any period of time is just too much right now.
