I love you so much
Thank you for absolutely everything… as well
Rest in peace dad
I’d do anything to go back to those days 💙
Mark Anthony Wakeling

Music, art and food are the backbone of our business. Sometimes on this journey we have moments when these three components marry up seamlessly. The @solscisters playing intergalactic love anthems infront of one of our absolute favourite pieces in our collection by the incredible @_benwakeling_ whilst people in the garden wolf down bbq implacably cooked by our very own chef Luke. Magic!
We can’t wait to do it all again on the 23rd!
Held, and no one confirms

Acrylic, oil bar and charcoal on raw Linen
120cm x 120cm
We love the looseness in this piece, where forms drift in and out view through layered, instinctive mark making.
On view on now in Holding Form, until 9 May

Acrylic, oil bar and charcoal on canvas
120 × 180 cm
We absolutely love the way this painting holds a tension between the seated figure and the loose, instinctive mark-making that moves across the surface.
On view now at Well Hung Gallery Until 9 May

Holding Form
Ben Wakeling
9 April – 9 May 2026
We’re pleased to announce Holding Form, a solo exhibition of new paintings by @_benwakeling_
We recently visited Ben in his studio and selected works from an incredible new body of paintings, visually striking, full of energy and with a real physical presence.
Wakeling’s practice is intuitive and process-led, with images emerging through layering, revision and reworking. Figures appear briefly before dissolving back into the surface, leaving the paintings suspended between abstraction and figuration.
There’s a real sense of tension in the work, built through a balance of hesitant marks and more forceful gestures.
Alongside his studio practice, Wakeling has spent several years working as an art facilitator within NHS mental health services, supporting patients through creative practice. This experience informs the atmosphere of the work.
Opening night:
Thursday 9 April, 6–9pm

Had a beautiful and strangely unnerving experience this week giving a lecture at @uwebristol@uwepsychology where we took a deep dive into my clinical arts programme being delivered in Forensics mental health. All the students were brilliant with there questions - and their patience as waffled on about the intervention, mistakes and what small possible shifts we observe.
