Alana’s artistic practice is tactile and spans across different mediums, from wax painting on textiles to jewelry and objects. The paintings started almost by accident, simply by noticing the shapes that melted candles left on the floor. Now, she intentionally melts colored wax onto cotton canvases.

JUGS at @thefutureperfect presents the water vessel as both ancient form and contemporary object. Installed in the previously private kitchen of the Goldwyn House in Los Angeles, the exhibition brings together singular works by international artists, tracing histories of utility, ritual, and material intelligence across time. Set within an intimate domestic context, the jug is reimagined as a site of experimentation, memory, and cultural meaning.
See my JUG beginning February 25 at The Future Perfect.

Excited to share these beautiful pictures as we enter the final days of this exhibition.
A show we had the pleasure to share as family.
En Este Momento marks the second collaboration between the two galleries, AGO Projects and anthony_meier_.
Each featured artist presented newly developed works spanning furniture, ceramics, florals, and one-of-a-kind domestic objects, emphasizing material intelligence, process, and the intimacy of making. The presentation is accompanied by a selection of artworks from Anthony Meier’s vibrant program, situating these practices within a broader artistic dialogue.
Missing here @kora_mr in our portrait.
Thank you Rodman & Rudy.

We are excited to present Alana Burns as a new addition to UNNO.
Alana is a multidisciplinary artist and trained psychologist based in Mexico City. Her practice explores memory, material transformation, and a subtle dialogue with nature through encaustic painting, textiles, sculpture, and interventions on found objects, particularly seashells. Working with intuitive processes, she treats materials as living archives capable of holding time, emotion, and trace. Informed by her background in poetry and psychology, her work approaches art as a space of quiet transformation, where the ritual, the everyday, and the timeless converge.
