This drill helps you stop relying only on movements you already know and opens the door to new movement choices. By working with unexpected rhythms, you train your body to react instead of repeating habits.
It also improves focus and adaptability when learning choreography, especially since every teacher counts, explains, or teaches patterns differently. Some count every beat, some use accents, and some simply tell you to feel the music. Either way, the music still follows structure and patterns you can learn to recognize.

Iโm beyond proud of all of my students at @tanzlade . Over the past year, Iโve had the pleasure of teaching and coaching 63 amazing kids and teens, and I donโt think thereโs anything I love more than watching them grow as dancers and as people & seeing them fall in love with dance.
so much love.
