TYSON has always existed in a musical space of her own, one where alternative textures meet an R&B sensibility, and where collaboration feels as instinctive as solitude. We connect with her to discuss her featuring on Sam Akpro’s new single “Wayside”,
The release follows a steady run of celebrated work, from her 2024 CHOAS EP to collaborations with artists such as Leon Vynehall, Dean Blunt and Coby Sey, as well as her recent appearance on Yazmin Lacey’s “Water.” Alongside her music, TYSON continues to build community through Ladies Music Pub, the London-based collective she co-founded to support women and gender-nonconforming people in the industry.
In this conversation, TYSON reflects on the making of “Wayside”, the evolving nature of collaboration, and how her creative process is shifting, shaped by new environments, new experiences, and the realities of motherhood.

Born in the Tooting neighbourhood of South London, Belcourt was raised on western Canada’s Cortes Island, an area marked by dramatic landscapes and severe winters. Since 2021, Tiberius b has synthesized far-flung styles into sleek, galvanizing pop songs. Launching on June 6, NEVERYTHING is their debut album that deepens and sharpens the singer-producer’s omnivorous sound, embracing all the peaks and nadirs of human emotion on its way.
SANS SOUCIS
San Soucis is a performing artist and activist focusing on the intersection between people from global majority and LGBTQAI+ community. With an Ivor Novello for Best Contemporary Song in 2025, for the title track of their critically acclaimed debut album, Circumnavigating Georgia. Sans Soucis has recently released their EP ‘trans’; A vulnerable body of work highlighting the importance of embracing transitions, on a granular, personal level and as well as a societal one of which they will share at the concert.
TYSON
TYSON is an Artist, DJ, co-founder of Ladies Music Pub and a Pisces. TYSON works in an alternative world with an RnB lens. Her latest release CHAOS is out now on Scottish label LuckyMe, continuing a streak of celebrated solo releases, the lambent soul of the Sunsetters/Daybreakers mixtape, the Pisces Problems EP (featuring lovestruck single ‘Tuesday’) as well as collaborations with underground royalty like Leon Vynehall, Dean Blunt, Coby Sey, rRoxymore and Wu-Lu amongst many others.

TYSON is a musician, mother, and co-founder of @ladiesmusicpub (LMP) a community-driven organisation supporting women, FLINTA* and gender diverse folk working in the music industry.
Playing from 2.30-5.30pm it promises to be the perfect end to the week and way to celebrate your loved one, whoever that may be. Children, dogs and dancers welcome.
