After a year of silence since the last catalog a new record is now coming to life, notes from the imaginary-world played & programmed by So-Fi.  “Mind Migration” is So-Fi’s debut release on Superluminal Recordings, four tracks inspired by unexplored old and modern techno sectors. It’s quite a milestone for me and I am so grateful to be able to release my music in these conditions.

We’re excited to welcome Parisian-born, Berlin-based selector @__so.fi____ to @funke.fu ⋆｡𖦹°⭒˚｡⋆ So-Fi is a lover of all things deep, wiggled out, and hypnotic. The Parisian-born DJ and producer’s sound behind the decks is reflective of her various music influences and the underground party scene she immersed herself in over the last decade. Known for her distinctive music style, her taste was shaped through a deep exploration of dance music, spending years extensively digging and collecting vinyl records while moving through Europe. She began playing her first gigs after settling in Berlin in 2016. In 2018, she became a resident DJ at Superluminal and is now part of the curation of the events and podcast series Superluminal.fm alongside Matthias and Ancut. After a praised performance at Nostromo Festival in 2021, So-Fi has been swinging her record bag around the world, performing at clubs and festivals such as Tresor, OXI, Hoppetosse, Club der Visionaere, Else, RSO, Renate, Watergate, FOLD, Radion, PRST, Les Enfants Brillants, Rex Club, Horst Club, Macadam, LAAK, SX Seoul, S.A.S.H Sydney, Dimensions, Opera, transcendence. A skilled dancefloor director, whose impeccable programming and polished style demonstrate a gift for storytelling with a focus on hypnotic and danceable rhythms. Her selections feature dark and smooth grooves at the crossroads of breaks, progressive house, and 90s techno. In 2024, So-Fi embarked on her music production journey by playing her productions on dubplates and working on her first EP (to be released in 2026 on Superluminal recordings).

My recording for @ute.rec mix series is up on soundcloud — sixty minutes of dreamy and hypnotic rhythms. It felt right to share in here some extracts of a recent scientific article about the effects of sound on the brain and body. “This narrative review synthesizes the behavioral, cognitive, and neural correlates underlying nonordinary experiences elicited by rhythmic sounds. From digital digging in the early 2000s to vinyl hunting in London, her path led her to Berlin in 2015, where she emerged through the underground and became curator at Superluminal. Now an international touring artist, she is known for her precise dancefloor control and storytelling instincts, delivering dark, hypnotic blends of breaks, house, techno and a spiritual approach to club music rooted in obscure grooves.
