SYNOPSIS
Residents of Ibadan count their gains and losses through the turbulent economies of an enduring global pandemic.
“Soja go, Soja Come”, an abridged version of the Nigerian saying, “soldier come, soldier come, but barracks remains”, speaks of the transience of crisis after crisis and the staying power of the will to survive.

The film was commissioned by @ifranigeria and funded by the French Embassy Abuja, as an extension and a visual representation of the fieldwork surveys and research papers of a team of social scientists on the economic impact of Covid-19 on everyday workers.
It’s been a minute I posted here, but a lot has been happening.
Road2Blow was a really insightful project. I definitely learned a lot working on this project as the Sound Editor/Final Mix.

I am very excited to announce that our documentary, #Road2Blow has received it’s first selection and nomination at the Africa International Film Festival, AFRIFF 2021.
It also doubles as its premiere for members of the public to watch for the first time.
This project commenced in the thick of the pandemic lockdown last year. We filmed for several months since then and of course, we had our fear share of challenges. I personally had several moments of “who send me work”. But just like the story we told with this documentary, no blow comes easy.
