Tjitarum sits at the intersection of food and design through Sereal’s hands, giving Tarum (indigo) a new life to redefine the notion of what oleh-oleh is – one that reveals West Java’s unseen beauty from the lens of design, attire, storytelling, and craftmanship.
so..this is what it feels like to join the exhibition after locking ourselves in for almost seven years??? Ssoooo sssssttrrrangggeeeee….but hey! come thruuu
Making outdoor life vibrant, maybe these are the things you crave.
We noticed these urban textures, the hum of insects, the street’s language blending with the gentle buzz of nature. All carefully framed, never loud, always real. 🤍🌻
Then, we crafted it to feel like the city itself, lowkey, but full of quiet life. Media, Indonesian vernacular, and outdoor energy, woven into something simple, honest, and true. Because even urban insects remind us that the smallest details can color a whole scene.
Huft… This caption is so long, but it literally brings BMB OUT of their cabin. 🪲🐝🦋

We’re about to share a memory that means so much to us. If u don’t want to hear it—that’s fine, ur loss. 🤝
The traditions, the acts of love shared after being far away from family, friends, and loved ones—this is the heart and soul of Tjilaki 9. From extensive research in London to broaden perspectives on products and concepts, to testing (so many) food products, all together worked hard to align every detail with the brand’s values. It was far from a quick or easy process.🤷♂️😮💨
We loved every moment of it, and it’s deeply important to us💖 This project allowed us to uncover and elevate the true expression of Indonesia’s oleh-oleh visual identity.
Warm in memory & crafted to be a cherished experience. Not just because of this story—but trust us, you’ll seriously regret it if you haven’t tried Tjilaki 9 yet.🔒

We have PLENTY things to do this year besides our regular project, cause God knows that’s how we pay our bills.
To bring some joy, instead of cursing at our project loads, we’d like to introduce you to PLENTY— We have an exploration and research program that highlights inspirational figures from various industries.
For the first batch, three figures will join this program, they are the best artists for the Tempo Magazine Award, the former Sous Chef of Locavore Bali, and Jogja based paper artist.
Sit back and wait for what we will find from this project. Meanwhile, let’s go back to those projects you’ve been delaying to get done. Yes, that one.
Cheers 🖤
