This work explores the relationship between fiber and natural dye, using indigo that I learned through my residencies at Hampi Art Labs @hampiartlabs and the Indigo Art Museum @indigoartmuseum . By combining different practices, and through direct observation of traditional textile-making processes as well as indigo dye experiments on ceramic surfaces at the Indigo Art Museum, this work tries to bring the formal qualities of textile and ceramics into the practice of papermaking. Through this process, the paper carries qualities of both fabric and ceramics, allowing it to go beyond its usual identity as paper.
Indigo and paper are not only color and surface; each holds its own history and character. The meeting point between tradition and contemporary intervention exists through physical labor, as well as biological and chemical processes.
Through this practice, I see paper and indigo as materials that record time, shaped through slow, layered, and connected processes. These works are not only visual objects, but also material traces of an ongoing negotiation between labor, material, and nature.

Garis mengajarkanku tentang arah. Ia tidak ragu ke mana harus pergi. Sekali ditarik, ia berani menentukan tujuan, meski kadang tidak sempurna, kadang goyah, bahkan kadang harus diulang. Dalam hidup, kita sering takut memulai karena takut salah. Tapi garis tidak pernah menunggu sempurnaโia hanya mulai.
Garis juga tahu batas. Ia berhenti ketika waktunya berhenti. Tidak semua hal harus diteruskan tanpa akhir. Ada saatnya kita harus berhenti, melihat kembali, dan memberi ruang bagi garis lain untuk melengkapi cerita.
Dan ketika banyak garis bertemu, mereka membentuk sesuatu , mungkin gambar, bentuk, bahkan makna. Seperti hidup kita, yang tidak berdiri dari satu perjalanan saja, tapi dari banyak arah, banyak keputusan, banyak pertemuan.
