The series includes concerts and seminars that bring study, experimentation and artistic practice into dialogue, with an emphasis on sound shaped through research, improvisation and personal exploration. Each concert presents guitarists from the international scene with a distinct artistic identity and personal sonic language. In the second evening, Swedish guitarist Anton Toorell presents a solo set between composition and improvisation. As Our Hands Move Sounds and melodies from flutes, recorders, voice, shakuhachi, banjo and cello will fill the Beehive on Wednesday, February 11. The music quartet Breakfast Club presents its new album “As Our Hands Move”, featuring music that moves from the Renaissance and Baroque to contemporary and folk traditions, combining improvisation and new compositions. Their sound is shaped through relationships with people of different paths — places, experiences and voices that come together through musical practice. The performance will be accompanied by Melissa’s Polyphonic Choir, under the guidance of Angeliki Toubanaki — vocalist, choir conductor and facilitator of vocal circles. 📅 Wednesday, February 11, 2026 🕕 18:00 📍 Beehive | Metsovou 10, Athens Ήχοι και μελωδίες από φλάουτα, φλογέρες, φωνή, shakuhachi, banjo και βιολοντσέλο θα πλημμυρίσουν το Beehive την Τετάρτη 11 Φεβρουαρίου. Φλάουτα, φλογέρες,φωνή, shakuhachi, banjo και βιολοντσέλο συνθέτουν ένα ασυνήθιστο μουσικό κουαρτέτο, το @breakfastclubquartet . Μουσική από την Aναγέννηση και το Μπαρόκ, μέχρι τη σύγχρονη και τη folk μουσική, αυτοσχεδιασμοί και νέα έργα συνυφαινουν έναν ηχητικό κόσμο όπου μνήμες, ιστορίες και φωνές αντηχούν και συνέρχονται. Η μουσική του Breakfast Club quartet κουβαλάει κάτι από όλους τους ανθρώπους και τα τοπία με τα οποία έχει συναντηθεί, κάτι από τη φιλία και τη σύνδεση μεταξύ μας. Από τις πρώτες μας πρόβες μέχρι σήμερα, δέκα χρόνια μετά, συναντιόμαστε με γυναίκες από διαφορετικά μέρη του κόσμου, προσφύγισσες και μετανάστριες και μαζί ψάχνουμε τους τρόπους να αφουγκραζόμαστε η μία την άλλη και να φτιάχνουμε μουσική παρέα. Το Breakfast Club έχει εμφανιστεί σε συναυλιακούς χώρους και έχει συνεργαστεί με ομάδες και οργανισμούς στην Ελλάδα και τη Αγγλία όπως, Women for Refugee Women, Melissa Network, Magpie Project, Barbican/LSO Culture Mile, την Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή, Sands Films και Onassis Stegi. Το 2018 συνεργαστήκαμε για πρώτη φορά με τη Melissa Network για ένα εργαστήριο και μια συναυλία γύρω από τη γυναικεία εμπειρία, τη μητρότητα, το σπίτι γράφοντας μουσική και ποίηση μαζί. Φέτος, οχτώ χρόνια μετά επιστρέφουμε στην Melissa Network, στην ξεχωριστή αυτή διαπολιτισμική κοινότητα γυναικών, στο νέο τους χώρο, για να μοιραστούμε μαζί τους και με όλες/@/ους εσάς τον καινούριο μας δίσκο.  Την Τετάρτη 11 Φεβρουαρίου, σας προσκαλούμε στην παρουσίαση του άλμπουμ μας «As Our Hands Move», στο @beehive.athens , το νέο κοινοτικό hub του @melissa_network . The performance loitsut . at the end of the world develops a scenic world based on rhythmic motives exploring what the relation between dancing as a rite(ritual) and riot is in a present with no future. 〰️The movement language of the work is based on a “queering up” of “common folks” dances - mainly Greek folk dances. Reusing materials from the past the piece weaves a movement language that creates a contemporary folk tale which challenges the ongoing endgame through the act of moving together. 〰️A woman grieves, stomps, rises and resists the end. She acknowledges her responsibility and guilt in this endgame as white. She repeats attempts to restart new worlds through movement and rhythm. She searches for connection and invites us to participate in the ritual. Can we move and be moved, regain community in a world that melts, burns and separates us? 〰️loitsut . at the end of the world calls to life a well-known but well forgotten enchantment: that we can and have to move to change what already is and take steps towards the otherwise together.
