🇬🇧 What happens to Olympic sites once the Olympics are over? Nearly twenty years after the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games, two German YouTubers visited some of the locations where Olympic competitions once took place and seeing them today is honestly incredible. They explored sites like Cesana Pariol, where events such as bobsleigh, luge and skeleton were held, and Pragelato, home to the famous ski jump stadium built specifically for the Games. Today, the Cesana bobsleigh track is set to be dismantled, with demolition work expected to begin this summer. Meanwhile, the future of the ski jumps in Pragelato remains uncertain, with no clear decision yet on what will happen to them. 📸: @bwturbex

Winter Olympics posters, right from the early years, have been an integral part of the Games’ visual identity. Indeed there is a reason why so many designer and enthusiasts look at these old items with such aesthetic admiration: they weren’t just promotional tools, they were visual works of art, born from a deep dialogue between culture, sport and the local social context. And yes, maybe, they really were better before digital art and modernism. Which one do you like best?

There are races that are simply part of sport. And then there are races that become part of the culture, and consequently, go down in the history of that sport. Zegama-Aizkorri undoubtedly belongs to the latter category. This year marks 25 years of @zegamaaizkorri . A quarter of a century of one of the most iconic mountain races in the world: 42 kilometres, 2,736 metres of elevation gain, technical terrain in an atmosphere unlike anywhere else on the planet. To describe Zegama as simply a trail running race would certainly be an understatement. It is a collective ritual, a popular festival, an experience that anyone who loves the mountains dreams of at least once in their lifetime. An event capable of transforming a small village of just 1,500 inhabitants in the province of Gipuzkoa, Basque Country, into a sort of global sanctuary for mountain running. “Zegama is Zegama,” @kilianjornet said on numerous occasions. He has won this race 11 times and is returning to compete this year, 19 years after his first victory. The phrase has now become the race’s motto. The history of the Zegama-Aizkorri began in the early 2000s with a very simple aim: to bring life and people back to an area affected by rural depopulation. Even before the race, it all began with a picnic in the mountains organised by the village’s inhabitants. From that community idea, the dream of a marathon through the Aizkorri mountains was born. The first route was drawn by hand on a 1:25,000 scale map. Today, with just a few changes, that route is still practically the same. In a world where many races have become major commercial events, here everything still retains the flavour of its origins. The village volunteers, the families peering out of their windows, the mud, the rain, the bells, the supporters gathered on the meadows. Winning here means earning your place in the history of trail running. Enjoy Zegama, everyone, as you chase that dream of running those legendary trails at least once in your life. 📸: @zegamaaizkorri / @koastalforest / @goldentrailseries

@formbark is a Swedish creative currently making waves with his distinctive outdoor-inspired imagery. At the heart of his work are human-like avatars that seamlessly incorporate natural elements, drawing heavily from the gorpcore aesthetic. These figures are meticulously layered in shell jackets, technical caps, and eyewear. While this visual language shares roots with pioneers like @gozzilah , Formbark elevates the concept by crafting entire bespoke environments where technical apparel and the natural world coexist in perfect harmony. Recently, his visionary approach has caught the attention of leading outdoor brands. A standout example is his collaboration with @klattermusen for their “Go Feel Wild” collection, where the artist narrated the essence of the garments through a series of conceptual shoots. Formbark was also tapped by @fizikofficial for the launch of the Ergolace 2 GTX. What truly sets these projects apart is how these established brands have chosen to adapt their own identity to match the creative director’s unique aesthetic, rather than the other way around. This shift marks a new era where digital artistry dictates the future of fashion marketing, proving that hyper-realistic avatars can resonate more deeply than traditional campaigns. By merging technical performance with organic textures, Formbark is redefining how we perceive our relationship with the great outdoors in the digital age. What do you think about this shift toward digital-first storytelling in the outdoor industry? 📸: @jsegerberg / @studio.olovkarlsson

This revolutionary jacket transmits sound frequencies directly to your body. @vollebak has engineered a garment capable of emitting frequencies toward the wearer’s body, featuring 180 integrated speakers that radiate sound inward. The system is controlled via a built-in MP3 player pre-loaded with 10 specific frequencies, though users have the option to upload custom tracks to their own library. The speakers, which measure 32 mm in diameter and 10 mm in depth, are capable of generating a frequency range from 4Hz to 20,000 Hz. This technology was developed in collaboration with @fbfx_ltd , the London-based studio renowned for creating complex costumes for the cinema industry, like in “Deadpool & Wolverine”, “Star Wars” or also “Guardians of the Galaxy”. The jacket occupies the space between a scientific instrument and a functional garment; the frequencies can trigger a variety of responses in the wearer, particularly at an emotional level. One of the playful, nerdy, and scientific takes on fashion. 📸: @sunleestudio

Originally born as technical running gear, On is successfully transitioning into the world of luxury fashion. The well established partnership between @loewe and @on continues to evolve with this latest drop featuring the Cloudsolo and Cloudtilt Hi in fresh new colorways. This ongoing dialogue between the two giants highlights how the Swiss brand can seamlessly integrate with high fashion houses that dominate the runways. What we are witnessing is the transformation of On from a purely performance based label into a versatile global icon. The journey began in 2010 when former Ironman champion Olivier Bernhard teamed up with David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti. Their visionary goal was to engineer a running shoe that could perfectly cushion every landing. Starting from humble prototypes made with pieces of a garden hose, they eventually developed the patented CloudTec technology that defines every single pair today. While the brand is expanding its presence in sports like tennis, it has also made significant waves in the lifestyle sector through prestigious collaborations. Among these, the alliance with the luxury house Loewe stands out as a clear testament to how Swiss silhouettes can become highly desirable in the world of haute couture. Furthermore, the recent partnership with @zendaya proves that the brand can effortlessly align itself with the most influential cultural icons of our time. On’s case is not an isolated one; in fact, more and more performance brands are turning their attention to high fashion and lifestyle, even collaborating with players in that sector. What will be the Swiss brand’s next move?

There is a new climbing accessory that lets you scale walls barefoot while keeping your big toe protected. The Japanese shop and brand @moonlightgear__equipment is currently testing a new footwear concept. The goal is to move away from traditional climbing shoes that compress the feet and limit natural movement, replacing them with a specialized toe cover secured with adjustable laces. After three years of development and more than fifty prototypes, "Yubisac" was finally born. For this latest version, the brand invited fifty climbers to test the product and received hundreds of applications from all over the world. Do you think this could a better solution than traditional climbing shoes? 📸: @nao_rn_

During the @giroditalia , the fifth stage across Southern Italy, from Calabria to Basilicata, was heavily affected by persistent rain. Riders were forced to compete in continuous downpour, which made an already demanding mountain stage significantly more challenging. The weather conditions intensified the difficulty of the route, with rain and strong wind accompanying the climbs throughout the day. The images document the athletes as they continue their effort through adverse conditions, navigating uphill sections under sustained rain and reduced visibility. A reminder of what endurance really looks like. 🎥: cyclingontnt
