We’ve been working on these tracks on & off for four years. They’ve undergone so many iterations, and we can’t quite believe they’re finally seeing the light of day. Almost abandoned for fear of lacking clear direction, @lineonefivesix ’s unwavering belief in the release sparked the realisation that the music’s naive ambition and uncertainty are intrinsic to its emotional pull: it’s an honest reflection of us battling through lofty self-expectations, projected self-perceptions and grief.

Elphi and I have been friends for years, and a few months ago it became clear it was the right time to write a song together. ‘Lullaby’ is the result; it’s a super fun pop<->dubstep banger and we lurvvvvv it 🌸⚗️
This track marks a separation in my career which has made a huge difference to me, where I can do whatever I like as a producer under my real name, whilst channelling all of my conceptual ideas about sound systems, acoustics and the world into @endingsummers .
I’ve wanted to be a professional musician in some capacity for as long as I can remember. 15 years or so of working towards this long term goal has allowed me to pick up creative and technical skills that I’m proud of, but alongside these have come some cripplingly high self-imposed standards. Working with Char on this tune has been a masterclass in just doing the thing without overthinking it, so thank you Char for what’s been a very freeing experience for me creatively 💗
So I guess I make pop now! Vocalists, if you wanna make something fun let’s get in the studio ✨
