US racing needs more established teams with historical heritage and the willingness to take on a multi-discipline approach to make it. As women’s cycling and sport writ large grow & expand, the “middle” of the sport needs to exist, especially in the North American scene. We aim to support experienced riders and contribute to the overall quality of US racing, plus incorporate new riders. Overlapping experience levels is the best way to share racecraft. The emphasis is on positive culture, and results follow that. Sharing the fun and craft of bikes and racing in our communities as leaders. Representing independent businesses that we believe in and believe in the good of sport.

Join us for a FREE Beginner Women’s Crit Clinic before race day. We’ll start with a short Q+A and whiteboard session, then roll the course together so you can learn the lines, corners, and flow before the whistle blows.

In 2025, we officially got involved in the US road scene. It was time. The calendar of road events in North America is high quality but smaller than ever, and the opportunities to join teams with varying experience levels where racecraft is learned are hard to come by. It’s a turbulent, resource-intensive sport with a steep learning curve, and it’s beautiful when done well. We were ready to chip in. Our reach was modest this year so our goals were focused: 1) keep good riders with experience racing in the US peloton, 2) commit to racing at least two key national level races together, and 3) bring it full circle and bring these experienced riders home to our flagship crit weekends here in OBRA, helping to raise our regional level of racing. Redlands was our first national race out, and it was incredible. Lots of highlights over the course of 5 days, but Cara flying her way to a top 10 in the mountains, a top 10 GC, and a 2nd place on the iconic final stage, the Sunset Loop—a defining race in the story of American bike racing—was totally the crown jewel.
Oh, and did we mention we had fun??

I kind of thought that if I could have one healthy season with no major disasters, things would go a little better. But after a couple seasons you lose momentum, and it stops feeling very realistic.
So I am incredibly thankful for the teams and teammates that gave me the opportunity to give it another go this year.

The 2025 #cxteamdoesroadszn tour continues! This week marks Stop 2: @tourdebloom ! An anchor for the PNW racing community, Bloom is making its first appearance as a UCI 2.2 event for the Elite Women this season, and we’re thrilled at the field that this ranking has attracted to an event we already knew was gold. When thinking through our intentional contribution to the US women’s road scene this year, heading back to Tour de Bloom—and for this UCI debut—was an obvious priority for us. We’re excited to share our part of the country with the peloton. The PNW scenery showcased in the variable courses that Bloom has to offer is exceptional, variable, beautiful, and cruel all at the same time. Thank you, Bloom crew, for your continued commitment to high quality US road racing and for the invite to come play hard at this year’s rendition!

We’re thrilled to welcome aboard Kaya Musgrave (CO, U23) and Grace Nottingham (VA) for this round!
Kaya is a ‘crosser with international experience and acclaim, just getting her first forays into the road racing scene this year. A cyclist all her life but also an artist, ask Kaya to show you her work!! She loves stripes, and we love her for her tenacity.
When she’s not on her bike, Grace is a field scientist, and she always has a hardhat and a pair of snake boots in her car. Anybody who’s a dog lover and also on a first name basis with their librarian is more than alright in our book. She’s in it for the teamwork and for the uphills.
