big thanks to @its_fault_radio for having me as a guest last monday and letting me play the chuggy grooves i’ve been collecting. also thanks to @stormybixth and my mom for the content.
last summer i heard vladimir ivkovic build a dance floor to an otherworldly simmer over 3 hours - patient, heavy and deeply strange. i’d already been burning out on hummingbird tempos and digging for chuggers. he showed me what mastery of the other approach sounds like.
the first hour-ish of this mix i slip and slide through some downtempo dance music, before climbing to more conventional tempos.
