When we started the track, it was called Disorder.
Shaping it, during those times where the world is shaking, another name became clear.

It was a privilege to record this original piece within the walls of Abbey Road Institute Paris — a place where music truly finds its meaning.
Composed and recorded in the heart of the studio, this track carries a deep need to speak about peace, at a time when it feels increasingly out of reach.
We’re proud of this moment. Grateful to the space that gave it breath. And still, heavy-hearted that such a song needs to exist at all.

C’était un privilège d’enregistrer cette création originale entre les murs d’Abbey Road Paris — un lieu où la musique prend tout son sens.
Composée et enregistrée au cœur du studio, cette pièce originale porte en elle un besoin profond de parler de paix, à une époque où elle semble s’éloigner.
Nous sommes fiers de ce moment. Reconnaissants envers ce lieu qui lui a donné souffle. Et, malgré tout, le cœur un peu lourd qu’une telle chanson doive exister.

The Semana s' project is part of a creative process during a residency at the Studiobato (bordeaux, France) in 2022, a studio on board a boat as its name suggests. For a week, Da Iguana & Walass went into exploration, as much in improvisation as in the sampling of old vinyl or to try percussive objects of all kinds. The two friends tried to transcribe the tranquility of life on board, approaching the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. It's in this metal and wood decor that the tracks and the concept of week were born. In search of the different moods that cross us, according to the days of the week and their sometimes frantic pace, the two companions have fun. This sound journey also evokes their meeting but especially their love for music.

« Avec la rage érigée en moteur Džuko s’immisce au sein des siens, au service de ses textes Walass délicatement accompagne l’auteur avec des sonorités subnautiques. Džuko démêle les éléments d’une condition humaine sans naïveté ni artifice. »
Depuis Novembre 2022, Džuko & Walass ont entamé un travail de recherche à bord du Studiobato, tant dans l’écriture que dans les sonorités qui l’accompagne. Ils ont choisi de revenir à la simplicité pour se mettre au service d’une poésie rare après avoir exploré différents horizons tel que le hip-hop/rap ou encore le rock expérimental. Cette épuration, cette écoute et cette simplicité offre un voyage introspectif entre les deux protagonistes.
C’est avec un immense plaisir que l’on vous présente ce projet.
