We warmly welcome you to the group exhibition 𝕊𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕒 𝕊𝕥𝕣𝕠𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 at Arti et Amicitiae, Amsterdam. Opening: 15 May | 19:00 – 00:00 The exhibition brings together works by Adriana Bogdanova @adrianabogdanova Šimon Chovan @simon_chovan Irene de Boer @irenedeboer Adrian Kiss @adrian.kiss Diana Scherer @diana__scherer and Aline Schwörer @aline_schwoerer ⏳⌛️ Engaging with principles of speculative paleontology and archaeology, Strata Strolling explores how contemporary artifacts may one day become cultural sediments. Like amber preserving remnants of ancient life, the exhibited works absorb microparticles of the present. Conceived as a reinterpretation of the natural history museum through contemporary art, the exhibition reflects on humanity’s desire to classify, historicize, and control nature while placing its elements into cultural narratives. Part of the installation was developed in collaboration with Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden. @naturalismuseum Special thanks to Amsterdam Fund for the Arts for supporting the realization of the project. @afk020

𓁺 Last week of our exhibition 𝔅𝔦𝔬𝔭𝔢𝔯𝔰𝔦𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔫𝔠𝔢 at Galerie UM𓁺 In a world where biological matter is becoming a malleable material and where death is perceived more as a technical problem of planned obsolescence than as an inevitable fate, new ethical dilemmas are emerging: do we have the right to stay alive, do we have the right to leave? The exhibition attempts to answer these and other questions from several possible perspectives that enter the biopolitical discourse from critical positions, either directly or symbolically. Biopersistence reveals how our ideas about the body, consciousness, and finitude are changing at a time when life is fast becoming an investment project that deepens questions about who has the right to it and when we can speculate about the inevitability of death. The exhibiting artists are Bianka Barniaková @lovecdrakov Nona Inescu @nonainescu Marie Holá @marie_._hola Kristina Láníková @kristinalanikova Natália Sýkorová @nataliasyck Galamb Thorday @galamb_thorday and Tereza Zelenková @terezazelenkova whom we would like to warmly thank for their participation and for their works, which have developed the theme into compelling dialogues. ⚜︎Architecture by the very best Sofie Gjuričová and Adam Rýznar (Pipe Dream) @pipedre6m ⚜︎Ethereal graphic design by tar.into @tar.into ⚜︎Documentation by Lucie Sasínová @luciesasinova ⚜︎⚜︎⚜︎New and accelerating forms of the capitalist system sought not only to close our eyes to the inevitable decay of all material things, but also to monetize the experiences and emotions associated with finitude. In addition to the institutionalization and commercialization of death and its rituals, attempts are being made to control death biologically and technologically, through efforts to either prolong life or slow down time. These individually adapted systemic changes have thus anchored in our minds the idea that we can control our own mortality and its signs in various ways during our lifetime. Through the works of Czech and international artists, the Biopersistence exhibition reflects on the need to (sur)vive under conditions of constant pressure to optimize the body and mind.⚜︎⚜︎⚜︎

Until the end of April, you can see our exhibition Point of View: Balance at @doxprague . For almost a year, the show explored connections between technological and biological intelligence when both can mutually overlap and test our capacity for imagination. The exhibition also became a learning space, since April 2025 we’ve run a series of educational programmes where we could open the theme together with young people. Many thanks to the artists - James Bridle @jamesbridle Richard Loskot @richard_loskot Denisa Müllerová @mullerova.denisa Olbram Pavlíček @w_lfr_m234u Erik Peters @e_ptrs Vítězslav Plavec @vitezslav.plavec Tereza Pöthe, Magdalena Rybanská @megaryba.atd Rachel Youn @rachelyoun and Silvia Belis @belissilvia for their participation and the perspectives they bring to these dialogues. We approach balance as shifting process, a constant tuning. The exhibition works as a kind of research station, exploring ways to blur the boundaries between the human and the more-than-human (both at micromaterial and computational levels) while allowing critical perspectives on the conditions under which they are approached to emerge. The same principles shaped the accompanying educational programmes. Instead of being a final goal, balance becomes a way of being, an ongoing search for connection and mutuality, which instead of being automatic, becomes very alive in unpredictable ways. 🐝With the best team Tereza Dvořáková @vivatzivot & Jiří Raiterman Photo: Jan Slavík

Feastopia approaches the theme of nourishment as a conceptual framework in which utopian and dystopian horizons intertwine. Through the individual components of the installation, it explores various tactile approaches that converge in a symbolic act of dining. Instead of functional tableware, the exhibiting artists present objects that imaginatively transgress and question our established notions connected to the consumption of food. The material fragments of the feast–individual artefacts–oscillate between the organic and the synthesized: between what grows on its own and hosts microbial life, and what emerges and is cultivated within technologized conditions. The installation thus unfolds between the slow passage of natural cycles and the acceleration of technological time. These two directions, between which we often find ourselves today as between conflicting rhythms, generate differing yet mutually permeable visions of the future forms of consumption, much like the approaches of the participating artists that intersect and complement one another. The exhibition enters the discourse of post-utopia, where every promising vision contains its dystopian counterpart: synthetic food promises health and efficiency, yet simultaneously threatens biodiversity and social sustainability. The featured works and installations thematize sterility, monocultural crisis, or a disrupted relationship to cyclicality—ways in which culture channels and disturbs natural biological processes. The artists work with materials both familiar and alien to the body–stainless steel, latex, silicone, caramel, textile, and ceramics–observing how tension between control and growth, trust and estrangement, is mirrored within them. Some works explore laboratory purity; others enable fermentation processes or highlight the ephemerality inherent in the experience of consumption. .... Prostřednictvím jednotlivých částí instalace zkoumá různé taktilní přístupy, které propojuje v symbolickém aktu stolování. Namísto užitých předmětů vystavující představují objekty, které mohou imaginativně překračovat a zpochybňovat naše ustanovené představy spojené s konzumací potravy. Fotografie: Šimon Kadlčák
