🐾🪺 PSA: Save your pet’s fur for the birds!
As the seasons change and our fur babies start shedding, that loose fur can actually help local birds build their nests 🐦✨
Why pet fur helps:
• Soft + warm = perfect insulation for eggs
• Gentle fibers = safe, cozy nest lining
• Natural material = breaks down over time
But skip the human hair 🚫
• Too long + strong → can tangle around birds
• Doesn’t break easily → risk of injury
• Can carry hair products (chemicals)
How to do it safely:
• Leave small, loose clumps of pet fur
• Place it on bushes or branches (not the ground)
• Make sure it’s clean + free of treatments
A small act, but it goes a long way 🌿💛
