Dear people, I am pleased to announce that I will be presenting the installation ‘Pulsed Waves’ at the Studio for Electroacoustic Music in Weimar at the end of September. This audiovisual installation is part of my bachelor thesis and the interim result of my research into the use of light as a sound source. You are all welcome to drop by at Coudraystraße 13a from 27.09. to 29.09. from 7 - 10 pm. There will be music, drinks and snacks! 🐔 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 @___mnemonics @___k_bl , @cab.michal , @adamsmolek , @matejsmet , @fantaklaro @bruk3v The festival will also present the Czech-German project 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵/𝗗𝗮𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗳𝗹𝘂̈𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗿𝗱𝗲, which deals with the ecological crisis and the possibilities of listening to nature in the Anthropocene. The project will be presented at Bučení in the form of a live performance by 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 & 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗞𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 transmitted via the Radio Earth platform, followed by a sound installation in the local cinema. Other local artists will include sound artist 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮́𝗯 and his saxophone, and video feedback artist 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗸 with his project "Waves end Waves." The festival will also feature an exhibition by conceptual artist 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲̌𝗷 𝗦𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗮 entitled Something Else, which continues the artist's exploration of object sequences and their indeterminacy, at Kulturák Archa. During Saturday afternoon, there will also be a workshop on binding diaries, making stamps and charms by 𝗞𝗹𝗮́𝗿𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘃𝗮́ & 𝗦̌𝗮́𝗿𝗸𝗮 𝗞𝗿𝗮́𝘁𝗸𝗮́ (Brukev). Starting next week, there will be several broadcasts from Panama and Costa Rica, moderated by different sound environments of these regions. As the audio material is recorded and transmitted using technical equipment, there is, as always with recordings, no direct link to reality. It is the recorded voice of these regions that is constantly shifting and is influenced by technical equipment. It certainly will contain elements that can be understood - and even used - as representative, but the essence of the creation of this project is based on a ‘sound matter’ conception, as opposed to a documentary approach. ‘This is not a pipe’ - René Magritte Broadcast via radio.earth, a participatory radio art project about the ecological crisis, its impact on our environment and the possibilities for action. The project aims to build a network of collaboration between individuals and organisations interested and engaged in these issues, with all their respective practices from art and science to activism.
