Selecting the right surfboard is half the battle, and the other half isnāt having the knowledge to pickup the right board to fit your surfing.
Hereās part two of my dive in a surfboard design, talking about board shape and foam placement.
When it comes to mid lengths and short boards, having a fish, egg, or wider shape, is going to provide more stability and speed.
Whereas pintails and swallowtails are going to allow you to do more vertical surfing and have a more responsive feel.
Understanding what type of shape you need, how much foam, and volume are critical in helping your surf progression.
