In de serie PLAY brengt Ben Thomas zijn kenmerkende stijl naar Nederland, waarbij hij de levendige kleuren en subtiele tegenstellingen vastlegt die vaak over het hoofd worden gezien in ons hectische leven.
Met een scherp oog voor architectuur vindt hij betekenis in het ogenschijnlijk alledaagse, waarbij hij elk shot zo inricht dat de schoonheid van alledaagse momenten zichtbaar wordt. Zijn werk biedt ook een blik op de samenleving die zich organisch vormt in en rondom deze ruimtes.
Er is een speelsheid die door de beelden stroomt, waardoor stadsstraten en stedelijke landschappen veranderen in podia waar vorm en kleur voortdurend in interactie zijn.
