PAN'S DELIRIUM - 18th of February 20:30 at @splendoramsterdam
(link in bio)
Some of you may already be familiar with the story of Pan’s flute, the wild and ancient Greek myth of a half-man, half-goat, ruler of forests, music, and the untamed. The myth tells of Pan, who relentlessly pursues the nymph Syrinx. In her desperation to escape him, she begs the river gods for help and is transformed into reeds. Pan, unable to possess her, cuts the reeds and fashions them into his flute, so that her voice becomes his music.
"Pan’s Delirium tells the story from the nymph’s perspective: vulnerable, curious, and hesitant, awakening by the river through the touch of Spirit. Watched by Pan, who desires her, and guided by Spirit, who protects them both, the nymph begins to discover her own body, identity, and independence. Though she first appears as part of Pan’s dream, she slowly realizes that she has a self that extends beyond his gaze."
Join us as we invite you into a dreamlike world where dance, harp, and flute come together.
Direction and concept: Ivet Serra @_____ivet_

Thanks to @qstura for the textiles that shaped the story, and to everyone in the room, playing or sharing the moment with me.
Another incredible production with the Dutch National Opera Academy — this time a double bill: Die sieben Todsünden and Der Kaiser von Atlantis.
I had the pleasure of working as assistant director while also leading the wonderfully chaotic world backstage alongside an amazing team of technicians.
The music and staging were an absolute dream, and the cast and creative team were even more inspiring. I'm really grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such talented people.
