Spring is in the air !
I created a window installation on Catherine Hill in @electradanielle ‘s new space for the Frome independent Market today ! … hold up !!! … i’m not about to open a shop here 😝… Just created a little install to celebrate spring coming round the corner very soon and spread the FLAURA love by putting my work in this lovely window! Of course many of you know this as the old Bramble and Wild florist shop which moved to south Somerset at the end of last year, such a shame for Frome to lose this shop and I hope someone takes the baton soon.
Thank you so much to Tristan for the blossom 🌸 and thanks most of all to my supportive amazing friend Electra for the opportunity to use your dreamy window space for a few days. 💕💕💕💕💕

A few new faces here, so a rare photo of mine to say hi — welcome 🤍
I don’t normally do this sort of intro thing but apparently it’s important … right !!?
I’m a floral stylist, designer and grower based in Frome, working across the UK (usually with a passport in my pocket 😉). I create on-set florals and environments for interiors, fashion, film and live events. I make floral environments where nature becomes form — sculptural, intentional and often minimalist. My work sits in the space where nature, art and fashion meet, always led by seasonality and British blooms where possible.
I studied contemporary theatre at art school in London and spent years as a performance and dance artist before moving into working with flowers around 6 years ago. I’m drawn to the theatricality of nature and how design can shift a mood, a set, a feeling.
I grew up on Dartmoor surrounded by flowers and vegetables (my parents ran a plant nursery and later a dried flower business) so growing things is in the veins I’m told !? 🩸 I’m also a mum to two girls, Martha (1) and Estella (5), who appear here now and then … and less frequently my partner in crime Johnny ♥️ often digging up weeds behind the scenes 🙏

Jessica Francis, interior stylist and vintage curator who heads up @held.home and Laura Hemming-Lowe, floral stylist, who runs @_____flaura studio came together recently to create a dreamy table scape in a beautiful field in Somerset. They fused together Jess’ antique silver wear and Laura’s dark blooms to conjure a decadent, elegant and mildly disrupted scene 🖤
