ALTER [SPRING] 🌱 Leave your form, change your shape. Tonight we welcome you back to the Alter series, spring edition! Full of fresh new faces, we have three artists [ @vonwolfenheiser.ox @suspiro.dj @fhargo__ ] that are ready to plant the seeds of rhythm and grow us into shared movement. This dancefloor is by the people for the people. We stand for inclusion and acceptance of people from all ethnicities, sexual orientations and backgrounds. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, anything of the sort are all grounds for removal. No harassment of any kind will be tolerated. Photos and phones are permitted, however, please refrain from excessive phone use on the dancefloor. Please take all long conversations to our wonderful smoking area or by the bar, it’s respectful to everyone listening to the music. Meet Annika Wolfe: Closing out our night will be Annika Wolfe. Rooted in Techno, House, Electro, New Wave, EBM, you name it, Annika brings a flare to electronic music that has become totally their own. Their eccentric style wields inspirations from multiple decades, giving their music a depth that feels familiar and yet entirely brand new. Meet Suspiro: Suspiro began their journey by becoming a founder and organizer of Mortes Excitatio, contributing to the queer renegade scene in San Francisco. They’ve produced and organized events championing femme and queer artists around the bay before performing at warehouses and F8 in San Francisco. With precise intention in each set and guided by a strong sense of what really works on the dancefloor, Suspiro pairs textures, grooves and tribal rhythms fluently. Meet Fhargo: Starting the night will be local San Diego DJ, Fhargo. Heavily influenced by the underground scenes of Europe, he has crafted a sound based around atmosphere, pressure and repetitive groove. Each set becomes a sonic journey flowing from song to song. What a lovely night! 🪩 San Diego u showed out, so much love and support here in this community it seriously just fills my heart. Thank you everyone for coming out, helping, supporting and just having fun and dancing with us 🌀 Outstanding work from our amazing lineup @kompress0rofficial , @__technik and @tokeonetoka . Everyone showed up and showed out in the biggest way. Special thank yous to @thebansheebarsd for hosting us and @eddieabarca.sd for coming through on the visuals, guiding us visually and story telling throughout the night. ALTER Leave your form, change your shape. Experience transformation through sound as we gather for a journey through the night. Leave your form at home, change your shape to shed what was. Hypnotic, groove-laden tracks will shape the soundscape as we blend textures and rhythms. This night features local San Diego talent, KOMPRESS0R (@kompress0rofficial ), AUTO TECHNIK SERVICE (@__technik ) and TOKEONETOKA (@tokeonetoka ) who will take us on a journey through various styles and sub-genres of underground electronic and techno music. Tickets available online until the day of the event (RA link in bio). The rest will be available at the door, cash or card, $5. A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (@miracmn ), a mutual aid group that is helping people affected by the ICE raids in Minnesota. If you’d like to check them out or make a donation yourself, we’ve linked them in the bio. Photos and phones are permitted, however, please no excessive phone use or talking on the dancefloor, it breaks immersion.
