‘You’re With Me Always’ explores those seemingly small life occurrences that set off a crashing reminiscence of a love that has departed. The smell of one of their old shirts, the sound of fireworks going off in the distance, the feeling of a damp cigarette on your lips while you lay in the bathtub. Once a spell-binding fantasy of promise now a spiral of yearning of what could have been.
The hope is that this collage of sounds helps one sift through these painful reminders and eventually learn how to move through the world despite them.

I associate experiences like this with the term ‘sillage’ - the lingering scent trail a fragrance leaves behind as the wearer moves. Captivating and tantalizing until eventually fading, living on only as a memory.
