Love’s a play, and as Shakespeare said, “all the world’s a stage”. It’s the season of love and year in, year out, we see the beauty of love, the joy, the whimsy get stripped down into a performance. Conditioned to only show the bits of ourselves other people would deem ‘desirable’. Always guarded, never revealing our true selves. The fullness and richness of love measured by acts, judged by those severely lacking it.
‘The Theatre’ conceptually challenges these norms, provoking us to not share with the world ourselves in pieces, but in totality. Especially in this season of love, and on a day like today. Happy Valentine’s Day!
