Lock-A-Way Volume 5 has officially come to an end 🔒🩵
This is the first year we’ve broken 30 participants in the Locking category. When I first started Lock-A-Way in 2022, I never thought I’d see a day with over 50 participants, let alone within just 5 years.
I’ll never stop feeling inspired watching familiar faces grow in their own journeys, and I’ll always welcome new ones. My only message to everyone is this: no matter your result during the battle, don’t forget you’re in a room full of like-minded people. Remember to have fun. Progress and achievements will come, so don’t stop yourself from making good memories.
Big shoutout to
@_aloy_ho and
@_kendesu.yo
Organising the past two volumes of Lock-A-Way with them has taken a tremendous load off my shoulders. I honestly would’ve stopped at Volume 3 if it wasn’t for them. Organising events will never be easy, but doing this together has allowed the event to grow exponentially.
Lastly, like with most things, I have to show gratitude to my (to-be) wife,
@emilyyylokeee ❤️ She’s stayed up many nights with me figuring out how to give everyone a smooth experience. If registration felt smooth, that’s her. If the score tabulation was seamless, that’s her. If the projector slides looked great, that’s her (and Aloy). She was more stressed about the event last week than I was 😂
Thanks, babe 💍
There are so many more people to thank, but I don’t want to make this longer than it needs to be. I appreciate everyone who made time to come support this community. Stay funky, and see you next year 🕺
