Shooting film these past few months has given me a new appreciation for digital photography, I was 50/50 on if I got this shot right and luckily it came out perfect!
That said it’s doing exactly what I was hoping it would, making me really think about light, shadows, exposure in a way that digital doesn’t require. Can no longer rely on “fix it in post”. Sure I can do some editing but if I didn’t get it right when I fired the shutter it’s not going to be right later.
@jeanelleracine killed it for this shoot, came out exactly as I imagined!!!

Working through some scanning improvements and I think I’m finally happy with this shot!
LOVED the pose from @findingsheet and managed to nail the exposure but was just never happy with the colors. Using the new @cinestillfilm CS-Lite+ has given me a lot more color separation than just using high CRI white light. Also learned a few scanning tips for low contrast images that have made a massive difference in using Negative Lab Pro.
Kodak Portra 400 scanned on a Nikon Z5 and converted using @negativelabpro
So so glad to have warm days again! Amazing shoot with @jeanelleracine so incredibly happy with how this whole set turned out.
