Is the match season getting close?? 🧐 It must be, why else would I be dusting of the ol load laboratory 🤣 All jokes aside, going into the new year of reloading with a new focus, and a bunch of good lessons learned from the last couple of years, more so last year 🤦‍♂️😬 (no more shredded extractors this year... 🙄) I have a MUCH better understanding of brass prep, setting up my dies and press, and have the annealer now 👌😎 Things already going much better... way better shoulder bump identified, and the setting on the sizer dialed right in. Spot checking sized brass for how it chambers is showing a much better result, and huge gain in consistency. The annealing has resulted in dam near perfect neck sizing, using a bushing die. Take those growths, add in a change to the Lapua 155gr scenar, I'm confident in a much, much better result in the load development this spring ☺️ Thanks to @emprecisionrifles for being my go to for the best materials, and being the voice of experience in getting this part of my game dialed in for success 👊😎 #712life #albertalongrangecenterofexcelance #emprecisionrifles #teamemprecision

Well, here it is, the yearly top 9 posts of the year for 712 Precision. 👊😎 Another great year, especially as my first year as a team shooter for @emprecisionrifles Did 5 matches in total this year, two NRL, two pro series PRS and one ELR match, King of 2mile. Hit a mile for the first time with the 300 PRC, learned some hard lessons on hand loading, and just had some ridiculous fun 😉 Thanks again to Shane and Steve at EM Precision for ridiculously awesome rifles and tremendous support, to the EM team members for being a bunch of beauties 🙏 Next year is looking pretty good with some more first's already being planned. Quiet Sunday today, things are all calmed down from the match season for me. Took the opportunity to start fixing mistakes from this year. Started by pulling apart the hot loads I had that were eating extractors 🤦‍♂️ Also, switching from the 155gr Barnes Match burners to Lapua 155gr scenar 👌😎 wasn't happy with the consistency of the Barnes, and always had good results from the Lapua Scenar's. I did some testing this fall with them that showed the results I was looking for. Despite the mistakes I made with my reloading (it was my second year at it) the @emprecisionrifles with a new @patriotvalley arms barrel gave me some of the best match results I've had ever, so, very much looking forward to seeing what I can get for results with a better focused reloading program, including some added process, like annealing, out of this beauty build👊😎 #712life #albertalongrangecenterofexcelance #emprecisionrifles
