Mt. Rave - Jarden (SLOW017) Happy to announce the release of the new @mt.rave EP out today Five years after their debut, the duo created by @clint.mp3 & @6tizen returns to Slowciety. This new release marks an evolution in their sound more firmly embedded in club culture, yet retaining the Unique style that first set them apart. The title track, Jarden, is a bass-driven anthem that sets the tone for the release. Next up, Acid Sparks surges with energy, as sparking acid elements bubble unpredictably, accompanied by driving beats and glitchy synth lines that together create a vibrant, edgy atmosphere. On remix duty, Melbourne-based @sleepd93 offers a mesmerizing rework of Acid Sparks, transforming the track into a smoky, dubby journey rich with hypnotic rhythms and intricate textures. Slow015 is about to land! As electronic music reaches ever higher BPM, 6tizen takes another path: largo and refined. Introducing Burden of choices, where a stompy bass/rhythm meets deranged synths much like Cliff Martinez’s The Knick OST. Plaintive portamento pads and chopped bleeps supplement the scoreboard. Indie-dance veteran Sascha Funke beefs the beat up, turning it into a proper dancefloor banger. Is it shallow or shallower? The question feels like a dumb artificially generated-one. A nasty bass layered with high saturation intertwines with a luminous 32-steps-melody. The refined breaks blend cheering-acid-lines with melancholic pads, forming harmony sparkles. Sam Goku pitches the track tempo up and uses complex rhythm patterns on which divine arpeggios dance languorously.
