The Summer Ended Kind of Cosmic.
Fresh off a flight from Hong Kong. Got a rare opportunity to see the inside of Berlin’s retro-futuristic ICC building. An embodied vision of a future that didn’t come to fruition. Lots of those around these days, as our institutions and ideas crumble. If we don’t look up from our phones soon, it may be too late.
Taipei this year. What a unique place. So many stupid influencers calling Taipei “budget Tokyo” - that’s absolutely not true. The city is absolutely its own world with a street level humanity and warmth that I felt very lucky to experience. Great bookshops too…
This image reminds me of a portrait from the 50’s of lisa fonssagrives-penn. I just love this era of fashion photography. The forms of the clothes made bodies become abstract and exotic and leant the images an architectural feel.
I shot this on medium format film - seems as though something magical is always captured when I shoot with this.
