In April, I took a leap of faith and attended a floral design workshop hosted by Mulberry & Moss and Lavenders Flowers, and it was a truly magical experience. The workshop offered a perfect blend of practical business and design lectures. The insights I gained have transformed my work. Crafting a bridal bouquet and centerpiece under the expert guidance of Sarah and Janelle was unforgettable, especially with their personalized feedback. The ceremony feature installation was a highlight, and their expertise led to this breathtaking ceremony feature. Susan’s enchanting dinners made us feel like royalty, adding an extra layer of magic to the event. The entire workshop team exceeded my expectations, and I made lifelong friends with florists from across the US. Last month, we had the pleasure of returning to the ever-enchanting Nestldown LLC — a venue I’ve been lucky to photograph many weddings at over the past two years. No matter the season, this forested fairytale setting always delivers stunning imagery. Our bride Julie truly poured her heart into this wedding, creating a whimsical and thoughtful experience for everyone. From signature cocktails named after their beloved cat Luna 🍹, to custom cake plates featuring Luna’s portrait, sword pins on every boutonniere 🗡, and colorfully coordinated bridesmaid dresses with matching necklaces — every detail was meaningful and fun. Photographing Julie and TJ was such a joy — they were constantly making us laugh behind the camera. Julie is always full of funny & creative ideas, while TJ is all in, ready to support every moment. Together, they showed me what “perfect partnership” looks like — both in love and in life. Two months ago this week, two of our daughters were married-just 5 days apart. February 2025 will forever be etched in our hearts. As the mom and floral designer, it was one of the fullest, most meaningful weeks in my life. It took so many hands, so much heart and the most amazing support from our family, friends and vendor team to bring both these weddings to life. Many hands really does make work light! I love how each wedding truly represented @shannonlmarske and @ashley_elizabeth0124 . I can’t wait to share even more details from both these weddings. Much more to come!

She started collecting colorful glass goblets at thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets. It was both sheer anticipation of “that” season of her life beginning, and symbolism of searching for treasure while waiting to set the table for the wedding feast. Meanwhile, she made everyone else’s weddings and special milestones and birthdays particular and loved. *Everyone* has a least a few stories of the all-nighters Ashley pulled for them. Or the loads she hauled up the coast, or across the country, for them. The cupcakes, the flowers, the signs, the sewing projects, the displays, the set-up, the clean-up, the dream-up, the doing-it-all-over-again. She poured herself into Other People’s Big Moments, as well as Other People’s Little Moments. So much so, that as she stepped into foster care and adoption, with no husband by her side, she committed to the Lord that she would raise & love her soon-to-be daughter all her life, even if it was “just the two of them.” She vowed to respond to that calling with no strings-attached. But in the beautiful story prepared for her, there was Someone coming to share it all with. Share the vision, share the caring, share the beloved child, share the years… and most of all, share her heart. Ashley’s giving, open, big heart knit to Aaron’s delighted, tender, grateful heart. All those nights of leaving everyone else, all those drives alone praying for him, all the trusting and walking forward without knowing, all the giving without a scoresheet. On February 27, 2025, Ashley’s colorful glass goblets, collected from years and years of seeking and waiting, were tied with the names of guests and set at the table. They were raised during toasts, and bounced around on the dance floor, and absolutely dazzled in the sunshine. Ashley and Aaron are one. And Ashley, Aaron, and Della are a family. Praise God from whom all blessings flow 🤍😭

“Don’t you think Shannon would be great with Trevor?” The blind date was scheduled, and it was the last first date of their lives. A simple evening that could have been forgettable, but instead, something eternal and covenantal was forging. Unexpected but undeniable. Shannon and Trevor WERE great together (special thanks to good friends keeping an eye out for potential happy matches!). So great that it quickly became clear this was a together-forever-scenario. Her expression and brightness and bubbling-over-heart, his gentle kindness and love of research and pursuing patience. Her comfort and sense of belonging resting on his smitten steadiness and long-held desire to build a life well. They married in February 22, 2025 at an airport hanger in Falcon Field, originally made to train WWII soldiers how to fly away into war. What a sacred joy this ground symbolizes to now send lovers into home, together. The whole day probably couldn’t have gone more smoothly, and I’ve never seen my dear cousin happier. Love is so amazing!! Celebrating marriage is so amazing!! Wedding Month is Here! We’re almost halfway through February 2025, which, in our family, is wedding month!
