Not every fabric speaks to you immediately… and this one definitely made me pause. But if you know anything about me, you know I don’t stop at “making it work”
@tiwalowla came with a clear vision: traditional, with a modern twist. She wanted confidence, presence, and a seamless blend of damask and aso-oke. The kind of look that doesn’t just attend a wedding… it arrives.
I fell in love with the raw, beautiful texture you get when aso-oke begins to fray. I leaned into it and let it guide the entire design. It translated perfectly when i eventually came across the skirt design by @thefiafactory and with a few modifications we got here!
And the result? A look so striking she won best dressed at the first wedding I’ve heard of with an actual runway for guests to strut their asoebi 😭✨
Safe to say… everyone was completely obsessed.
