To make films, you have to be deeply passionate, fully committed, and convinced your story is worth the time, the struggle, the sacrifice. I never imagined how difficult this path would be, how heavy it could feel at times. But every single moment was worth it. Dreams of Dendara premiered at the Luxor film festival winning best short film for its 15th edition. It all started during Covid, my life changed. It was only in that unexpected stillness, with all that time suddenly mine, that I could truly reflect on my love for movies. For the first time, I allowed myself to dream of becoming a storyteller beyond music, which has always been my original world. I wanted to bring visuals to life, to weave together images, sounds and stories into something meaningful. Four years of learning, watching, writing, and rewriting… four years, including two filled with rejection from production companies who called my film too dreamy, too ambitious. “Dreams of Dendara” would not exist without those incredible talents, those beautiful souls, true artists, an amazing producer, and, above all, a blessing from above.thank you all from all my heart.
