📽️ We are delighted to launch 'Dreams Are a Language Made of Images' (2025), a new commission by Zineb Sedira on The Line at 3 Mills Studio (@3millsstudios ).⁠ ⁠ The site-specific commission is based on a quote from the Italian filmmaker, Federico Fellini, who was most famous for his 1960s films, including La Dolce Vita. The work encourages reflection about the interrelationship between dreams and cinema, recurring themes in Sedira’s practice, and sits in dialogue with the Channelsea River.⁠ ⁠ 📍 See the new work installed on the side of 3 Mills Studios, a leading centre for film and TV production situated in the former J&W Nicholson gin distillery complex on the banks of the River Lea. Nearest station: Bromley-by-Bow.⁠ ⁠ Zineb Sidera is a London-based Franco-Algerian artist who is known for exploring themes of identity, gender, and family history. Using film, photography, installation and performance, Sedira examines personal stories in relation to broader geopolitical narratives.⁠ ⁠ This installation is The Line’s fourth iteration of Longitudinal Dialogues, a programme that takes its location on the Greenwich Meridian as a starting point for global cultural exchange. The Meridian, on which both the UK and Algeria are located, runs only a few hundred metres to the east of this installation.⁠ ⁠ Zineb Sedira’s 'Dreams Are a Language Made of Images' is co-curated by The Line and Arup Phase 2 (@phase2exhibitions ), in collaboration with 3 Mills Studios (@3millsstudios ). 3 Mills Studios appoints Lucy McCutcheon as Head of Sales & Client Services in planned succession to Head of Studios 3 Mills Studios has appointed highly respected studio executive Lucy McCutcheon to the newly created role of Head of Sales & Client Services, as part of a planned succession that will see her step into the role of Head of Studios later this year. McCutcheon's appointment marks a major coup for 3 Mills Studios. Widely regarded as one of the UK screen industry's most experienced studio executives, she brings more than 20 years' experience from senior roles at Pinewood Studios, BBC Studioworks, Twickenham Studios and most recently Elstree Studios. She will join 3 Mills in February and will work closely with current Head of Studios Paul de Carvalho during an extended handover period, before formally taking over leadership of the iconic East London studio when de Carvalho steps down later in the year.
