Wild Style – im März feiert Charlie Ahearns Kultfilm Wild Style Premiere in digitaler Fassung. Und am 8. April könnt ihr ein nie dagewesenes Screening in der halle02 erleben, inklusive Q&A und Live-Auftritt mit @grandmastercaz07 aus New York, Gründervater und Pionier des HipHop sowie Star des Films und Kult-Soundtracks, sowie Heidelberger HipHop Legende @the_real_torch , als DJ Haitian Star, hinter den Decks.
Wild Style wurde vollständig digital im Jahr 2025 restauriert. Der Film ist der erste Spielfilm über HipHop, ein Klassiker mit den ersten Stars der Szene.
Über die Signifikanz des ersten Films zur HipHop-Kultur Wild Style muss nicht mehr viel gesagt werden. Regisseur Charlie Ahearn verbiss sich 1981 an der Idee, einen authentischen Film über eine aufkeimende Bewegung in der South Bronx zu machen, mit dabei die Stars der Szenen Grandmaster Caz und seine Gruppe The Cold Crush Brothers, Busy Bee, Fab Five Freddy, Grandmaster Flash, Rock Steady Crew etc.
Erstmals seit über 20 Jahren wieder auf Tour in Europa, eine der einflußreichsten Figuren der HipHop-Geschichte: Old-School-Ikone Grandmaster Caz!
Außerdem dabei HipHop Legende Torch, als DJ Haitian Star hinter den Decks.
Präsentiert von @hiphop_heidelberg , @oldbutgoldparty und Freies Hip-Hop Institut (@hip_hop_archiv_heidelberg ).
