Die zutiefst intimen, vielfältigen Strassenfotografien urbaner Räume, die die tiefe Liebe und den grossen Respekt von Jens Krauer gegenüber seinen Sujets widerspiegeln, haben euch regelrecht in Scharen ins HAUS DER FOTOGRAFIE geführt. Am Eingang vor der Kasse kam es zu Staus, seine Führungen waren stets ausgebucht, und seine Bücher waren im Haus innerhalb kürzester Zeit vergriffen. Es freut uns ausserordentlich, dass wir euch mit der Ausstellung STREETPHOTOGRAPHY – trotz ihrer kurzen Dauer – begeistern konnten.
Diesen Schwung nehmen wir mit grosser Vorfreude in die nächste Ausstellung mit – die Vorbereitungen laufen bereits auf Hochtouren.
(EN) 37 exhibition days, 3 floors, 130 photographs – and 1,471 visitors! The deeply intimate and diverse street photographs of urban spaces, reflecting Jens Krauer’s profound affection and great respect for his subjects, quite literally drew you in droves to the HOUSE OF PHOTOGRAPHY. There were queues at the entrance, his guided tours were consistently fully booked, and his books sold out at the museum in no time. We are truly delighted that, despite its short duration, the exhibition STREETPHOTOGRAPHY was able to inspire and captivate you.
We are excited to carry this momentum into our next exhibition – preparations are already in full swing.

Mit STREETPHOTOGRAPHY von Jens Krauer präsentieren wir die Arbeit eines Schweizer Fotografen, dessen offener Blick die Geschichten von Menschen in den verborgenen urbanen Räumen von New York, Istanbul, Hongkong und Tokio sichtbar macht. Mit einem einfühlsamen und neugierigen Blick hat er Momente festgehalten, die das menschliche Dasein berühren und zeigen, wie wir unseren Weg durch die Welt finden.
Wir freuen uns euch ab dem 24. Januar im Haus der Fotografie zu begrüssen!
(EN) We are starting the new year strong with a new exhibition at the House of Photography. With STREETPHOTOGRAPHY by Jens Krauer, we present the work of a Swiss photographer whose open gaze makes visible the stories of people in the hidden urban spaces of New York, Istanbul, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. With a sensitive and curious eye, he has captured moments that touch upon the human condition and reveal how we find our way through the world.
