We’ve always cared about format. Whether it’s the warmth of vinyl, or the weight, balance and clarity of a tuned sound system, how moments are delivered shapes how they’re felt. Capturing the festival on film was a natural step and a more intentional way of remembering the weekend.

definitely struggled to nail down the right location for this shoot initially, the decision paralysis around finalising a shoot location is so real and definitely not talked about enough in creative circles - the final concept came together so much better than I had imagined so huge thank you to @morehijinx for being patient with me and trusting the process

me and @shaddows__ linked up a few weeks ago and did something very fun, really excited to share these !
we had a very specific vision in mind for these shots and I’m stoked with the end result. anyone who knows Sam knows he’s an incredibly vibrant and dynamic character and so it was really important to me that I was able to capture Sam’s energy in these frames.
we shot in a 7-Eleven-style off corner shop in East Bristol, there’s something raw and authentic about these spaces - they’re familiar yet full of personality, just like Sam.
had so much fun shooting these - big thank you to @shaddows__ for being such a joy to shoot with.

Shots of Felix Culpah & Coco Dubz on decks and some gorgeous crowd faces. The female presence in both the booth and in the dance at NLDC is what makes it as special as it is
Having gone to these events since May 2023, NLDC have pushed since the start of their journey to curate truly diverse line ups that have showcased some exceedingly talented Femme DJs as well as creating a safe space for women at the event itself.
A lot of effort and intention goes into organising NLDC and a big part of that is giving women in the scene the space and platform for expression.
