We’re getting ready for one of the most rewarding nights of the year. It’s an evening when we come together to ensure everyone has a place to be themselves, expand their world, and deepen their community. 317 is such a unique place, for the families, teens, adults, bands, educators, and audiences who call it home—and we want more people to discover the magic. Help us keep it strong by coming out, letting loose, laughing, dancing, and remembering what real community can do in these times of need. Tickets are available on our website, and we hope to see you there!
Chorus, choral, or choir—if you’re a middle schooler looking for a festival style camp this summer, @bethyperkins is ready to roll starting August 10th! Join her at 317 for an unforgettable week of singing, new friends, and fun as she leads teens through a week of choral music of all kinds. Learn more in the camp section of our website!
Spring cleaning checklist? Long deferred nap? Some cozy cuddle time? Getting out on the town? The possibilities are only limited by your imagination when we take care of the kiddos this Friday and you do…well…whatever the heck you want!
(We’ll even feed ‘em, courtesy of @brickyardhollow !)
This Friday, April 10th, this very Bourgeois guitar will be raffled off at @mainebeerco as Bourgeois artist, @griffinwilliamsherry closes out their Winter Concert Series.
At the start of 2026, we proudly donated this guitar to Maine Beer Co. as they launched their concert series; a run of intimate shows in their tasting room, built around local musicians and a shared love of live music. At each concert since January, raffle tickets have been building toward this moment.
All proceeds from the raffle will go to @317main , a Maine nonprofit dedicated to making music education accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
Tickets for the show are still available, but moving fast! Come support great local music and get your name in the hat to win a new Bourgeois!

We’re going to postpone tomorrow’s Family Dance.
The forecast is calling for a mix of snow and rain right around the time folks would be heading in and out, and it’s just not worth the uncertainty for families traveling with kids.
We’re already working on a new date and will follow up later this week with an update.
A fun article in the @pressherald about the new table in our café—but it’s really something much more than that.
Built by Hans Underdahl over four years, this piece carries the history of 317 in a very real way. The top is made from the 1855 barn that once stood here. The legs come from Herbie, Yarmouth’s beloved elm. Every inch of it was shaped with care, intention, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Hans created it to honor John Williams, our former Executive Director, who retired in 2024. But what’s most meaningful is what’s happening now.
Students doing homework. Families gathering between lessons. Hands tapping on it at Open Mic night. People connecting…and that’s the point.
Thank you, Hans—for your craftsmanship, your patience, and the spirit you’ve quite literally built into this space.

This Saturday, the Little Roots crew is bringing the wiggles, the giggles, and a whole lot of kid-sized groove to Founders Hall. If your little ones have energy to burn (and let’s be honest—they always do), this is the perfect place to let it fly.
Songs, movement, dancing, and the joyful chaos that happens when a room full of kids gets moving together.

Last Friday was one of the more special nights in recent 317 Main memory.
Our teaching artists and staff came together to donate their time and talents for a benefit concert supporting @maineneeds during a moment when many in our communities need care and support.
It was a moving, reflective, joyful, and buoyant evening—full of music, connection, and the kind of togetherness that reminds us why places like 317 Main exist in the first place.
Together, we raised more than $2,100, which will be going to Maine Needs this week to support their vital work ensuring people across our state have the resources and dignity they deserve.
We’re grateful to everyone who performed, helped organize, and showed up. Nights like this remind us that music isn’t just something we play or listen to—it’s something that helps us care for one another.
Proud to be part of a wider circle of empathy, creativity, and community.
