Meet the Orchestra: Harrisan Mohanarajah on flute Harrisan started learning the flute under the tutelage of Shri. P. Gnanavarathan at the age of 6 and completed his arangetram in 2011. He received further training from Dr. N. Ramani and has performed in the December music festival in India. He received the title "Gana Kala Ratna Bhushan" from Padmashri Adyar K. Lakshman, after performing at the Bharathya Vidhya Bhavan in Chennai 2013 and attained the diploma title of 'Kalajothy' from the Oriental examination board in London, UK. He has also completed his miruthangam arangetram under the guidance of Shri. P. Kirupakaran. He has performed in the December Music Festival in India and has accompanied various prestigious artists from around the world. Harrisan, as part of “2Flutes”, has performed for Dishoom and worked in the studio with Grammy award winning DJ producer Skrillex. The brotherly duo are known on social media for blending their Carnatic roots with contemporary music genres to present captivating covers. #doublebill #flute #indianperformingarts
