⚡️How a singular concept shaped our show…It sometimes starts with a small thought and transforms into something spectacular. For us the creative process was all about the beauty within the broken.
We collaborated with incredible set and lighting designers to explore the world of mirrors and reflections. Literally shattering a mirror into eight shards..Why? To show how individual pieces of trauma can come together to help one another heal.
It’s been a wild journey bringing these reflections to life BUT we aren’t done just yet…
📍 Next stop, we’re heading to our final tour location at the end of June.

TOMORROW is more than just movement, it’s a conversation!
At 2Faced Dance, we believe dance is a language for the things that are often too heavy for words. Our most personal work to date, TOMORROW, dives deep into the mental health realities that touch almost every one of us.
This isn’t just a performance for us, it’s the lived experience of our community, our friends and our families. It’s time to bring these stories out of the shadows and onto the stage.
📣Join us for the remainder of our tour…
👉Experience TOMORROW tomorrow evening at our penultimate tour show in Tewkesbury at The Roses Theatre!

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 (11-17 May) this year the theme is “Action”. @mentalhealthfoundation So let’s talk about mental health (as my @thesparkdotcompany tee suggests)
TW: mental illness
My history:
I was sectioned under the mental health act aged 17. I was a month away from dying of anorexia. I was hospitalised 5 times for mental illness. I was essentially expelled from private school for being too mental (“uninvited to return” after my first voluntary hospitalisation despite straight As & excellent behaviour aside from the mental illness) I’ve been in therapy since I was 14. I’ve had multiple diagnoses totalling 15 mental illnesses (common for people like me with CPTSD at the root of our other coping mechanisms/illnesses) & now AuDHD in neurodivergent conditions. I was born with EDS - a physical condition of hypermobility. Research suggests this is linked to developing depression & anxiety. My struggle then led to coping with other behaviours that became secondary and tertiary mental illnesses like OCD, anorexia, binge eating disorder, bulimia. I experienced psychotic hallucinations when I was sectioned as a result of low body weight and stress. I’ve tried to unalive myself before and I’m very glad I wasn’t successful in those attempts - life didn’t get better but it got different. Recovery isn’t linear, Like every human, I aim to improve, learn and grow, mess up and then grow again.
I’ve noticed a worrying trend in the last 5 years - increased political polarisation seems to have set us back in conversations around mental illness: more stigma, more misunderstanding and harmful stereotyping than before. “Othering” benefits those seeking to profit from division, fear and suspicion. Togetherness sets us free.
Struggling with our existence is the most human thing we can do. Madness & art are closely linked because both sit on the fringes of society. I turned to the arts to help me cope with a mind that doesn’t seem to want to be tamed or to fit in. Speaking at events like @2faceddance last week with @technicallyron is where I belong. We survive to change the world for the better. That’s the ACTION I want to take.
This #MHAW take action.
The reviews are in for TOMORROW and we’re over the moon⭐️⠀

See you tomorrow, @dance_city_newcastle …
As we prep for our show tomorrow evening, we’re looking back at one of our recent documentaries that dives into the raw, human side of the creative process of TOMORROW.
Our mission at 2Faced Dance goes much further than the choreography; we’re dedicated to building a space for male dancers to be vulnerable and honest about the weight they carry on and off stage.
We’ve been on the road since March and the journey doesn’t end in Newcastle! We still have two stops left on our tour.
📍 Local to Tewkesbury or Shrewsbury? We’ll be at @the.roses.theatre and @theatre.severn in May and June. Grab your tickets via the link in our bio!
Joining us for Head Talks with author and host @technicallyron will be the awesome award-winning comedian, writer, presenter, mental health activist and journalist, Juliette Burton.Juliette is an informed speaker and able to talk confidently on the subject of mental health, using her experiences and strength to offer hope.
