Hope 2026 is treating you well so far :)
Last year I worked on a few long-term projects and it shows with all these unfinished personal sketches haha
Buuut I also finished things like my short „Tooth Fairy“ and the David statue inserts!
Going forward I also wanted to let you know that I’ve decided to go on a posting hiatus this year. The week between Christmas and New Year that I deliberately spent away from this app made me realise just how burnt out I felt after gaining more momentum on here.
Since 2026 will be a busy year, I want to remove the additional stressor that’s Instagram for me personally. I have tried being more active several times, but found that showcasing my every step and being online a lot isn’t something that works in favour of my mental health at the moment.
I’m super excited to be working with talented people on several cool projects this year while also doing necessary preparation for my next original animated short and diving into more experimental styles and media!
You might see me in collab posts or I may drop something finished once in a while, if I feel like it. This announcement just helps taking the weight off my shoulders that people might expect to see „content“ from me this year. I will try to update my website more frequently instead ^^

We are excited to share a very special project we have been working on!✨
We, that's Chai (@2dchai ) , Verena (@studiomoshu ) and Sarah (@sarahbraid_ ) contributed to the documentary Ars Erotica by Patrick Catuz (@patrick.catuz ) as animators, and it was a great experience to see the animated intros we created come to life! 🙂
The documentary is a co-production of @arte.tv and @orf . It will be shown on ORF2 next week on the 30th of November at 23:00 and broadcast on ARTE in spring. 🙂
Short synopsis:
Explicit depictions are often seen as taboo today, but historically they served many roles: educational, entertaining, decorative, and artistic. Ars Erotica traces the evolution of sexually explicit imagery across eras and cultures, connecting past and present through voices of experts and performers. The film reveals how much richer and more nuanced the history of the explicit image truly is.

People studies. I‘d love to create a habit of sketching loosely on the ipad more often, but the tilt function seems so f‘ed up and has me redoing strokes 80 percent of the time… is that a general problem or just my pen? :(

It has come to my attention that I never posted this here! Karma was originally made for an elective at uni and it somehow went places (as in landed the jury shortlist at Landjäger Kürzestfilmfestspiele in 2022, was shown briefly on TV as well as infoscreens in Austrian public transport lol).

The original photo was taken in 1936 by Adolph E. Weidhaas. Was listening to The Space Lady while drawing this & the album cover kinda fit aesthetically, so I included a doodle of it on the page 🪐
