#ADayInTheLife of a Critical Care Flight Paramedic (68W F2)
Staff Sgt. Alissa C. Platukis serves as a critical care flight paramedic with Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Aviation Regiment, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2d Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division.
Originally from Weston, Pennsylvania, Platukis joined the Army in July 2019 seeking opportunities to travel, grow as a young adult, and build a career that would push her beyond her comfort zone.
Before transitioning to aviation, she served as a ground medic with the 82nd Airborne Division and operated as a Female Engagement Team representative at Hamid Karzai International Airport during the 2021 evacuation in Kabul, Afghanistan.
As a critical care flight paramedic, Platukis provides advanced medical care in flight, supporting MEDEVAC operations and ensuring patients receive life-saving treatment during transport across the Korean Peninsula.
In her free time, Platukis enjoys traveling, immersing herself in Korean culture, swimming, spending time outdoors, and being with friends.
