Niecey’s in the Studio! The Studio at 2+U (@2andu ), that is 💃✨ Current resident Niecey Chong (@knee_c ) is a dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Seattle. Her work grows from years spent moving between commercial dance, street dance communities, and educational spaces — always asking how these cultural dance forms are taught, represented, and sustained. While always busy collaborating, running workshops, and teaching choreography classes around the city, she’s using her residency at The Studio to reconnect to her own personal artistic practice and rediscover a sense of creative exploration. “The Studio has given me permission to be creatively selfish in a healthy way: to follow curiosity, explore ideas that don’t need to lead anywhere yet, and spend time with questions rather than outcomes. That kind of space is hard to find, and it’s been essential for maintaining balance, clarity, and sustainability in my practice.” Follow Niecey (@knee_c ) to stay up to date on everything this artist is up to, including dance workshops open to the public!
