Four-fold Reverie
Pippa Eason
2 August – 5 October 2025
Not long to go until we launch Four-fold Reverie, a major new solo project by Manchester-based artist and PINK studio holder Pippa Eason.
Rooted in Eason’s lived experience of neurodivergence and body dysmorphia, the installation unfolds across four immersive environments, each offering a metaphor for a distinct psychological and emotional state. Together, these interconnected spaces form a quadrant of embodied experience, through which the artist gives shape to instability, self-perception, and sensory entanglement.
Four-fold Reverie gives form to the shifting internal states Eason frequently inhabits, shaped by her neurodivergence and an ongoing negotiation with the complexities of self, sensation, and perception. Across the installation, the interplay between body, mind, and environment is explored through abstracted sculptural forms, ambient sound, scent, moving image, and responsive light.
Each space becomes a sensory expression of an internal world, forming a metaphorical map through which instability, intensity, and vulnerability are traced and held. These environments are both deliberately shaped and emotionally charged, inviting quiet reflection within structures that hold form yet remain open to feeling.
Four-fold Reverie is a meditation on the politics of making, the poetics of material, and the necessity of self-reflection. Through clay, light, sound, and space, Eason offers a framework for feeling—an architecture of emotion that asks not for answers, but for presence; not for resolution, but for the courage to dwell in uncertainty, to live with complexity, and, at last, begin to feel at ease in one’s own skin.
Presented by PINK, Four-fold Reverie launches on Thursday 31 July, 6–10pm.
The exhibition runs Saturday 2 August – Sunday 5 October 2025, and is open Saturdays and Sundays, 2–6pm, or by appointment where possible.
